Londonderry, NH, June 18th, 2007 – Laurier, Inc. combines operations with Datacon.

Laurier, Inc. is pleased to inform you that the Laurier division of Besi, manufacturers of die sorters, high accuracy flip chip bonders and tray stack feeders, will now become part of the Datacon Technology GmBh die attach equipment division. The reorganization consolidates Laurier into Datacon, resulting in a single die handling division. Laurier Sales and Customer Support will be fully integrated into Datacon´s worldwide Sales and Service network. Local Datacon Sales and Service offices will continue to provide support to Laurier customers. The Laurier application / engineering  team will remain at our New Hampshire facility supporting our customers with timely solutions to vision, software, and process challenges. Manufacturing and Product management will be moved to Datacon Austria and Besi Malaysia .

Both Datacon and Laurier are technology leaders in their respective markets. Combining these operations will allow the synergies of the two groups to strengthen our technology position and share process tools across machine platforms, resulting in better solutions for our customers.
